TEHRAN, Jul. 12 (MNA) – Visiting Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Majid Takht Ravanchi has met with Romanian Economy Minister Costin Borc.

IT, tourism, agriculture, energy and investment were the areas of bilateral interests upon which Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Majid Takht Ravanchi and Romanian Economy Minister Costin Borc agreed to develop bilateral ties between the two countries.

The visiting Iranian diplomat met with the Romanian official late on Monday during his visit to Bucharest, intent on improving trade and economy relations between Tehran and the Eastern European country.

The joint Iran- Romania economic commission to be held in October/November was described by the two sides as the opportune occasion for more reciprocal understanding of the two countries about the potentials, capabilities, and resources of one another; a step toward flourishing relations.

Bank transactions and transit cooperation were the other objectives discussed in the meeting.

The Iranian deputy minister also had another meeting in Bucharest with Victor Vlad Grigorescu, Romania's Minister of Energy. "The bilateral ties between the two countries are positive and on a rising trend," Takht Ravanchi described the relations after the meeting, adding that, "Tehran and Bucharest both enjoy vast amounts of resources and potentials, and both are determined to develop areas of cooperation in areas like energy."
